Was walking to the car after intervals the other night and got talking to one of the young guys doing the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday. He’s a nice young chap, he did 66 minutes for the Inverness half so hopefully he’ll do well, Luca Fanotolli.

Pretty rapid - best of luck to Luca on Sunday (and to all doing the races :))

Good luck all at mara and half on Sunday and 10K on Sat. Could be quite a hot one in Costa del Edinburgh? G

Was Luca Fanotolli one of the Central AC team who stuck it to the English recently in the relays? Name sounds familiar.

Forecast is for a considerable cooling by Sunday: 13°C and overcast. With a light tailwind hame, for many marathoners.

I've suddenly found myself called up as a guide runner for Leg 2 of the Edinburgh relay on Sunday. Running 10K should be the easy part, but the logistics of getting everyone to and from their respective start/end points is giving me a headache (and that's before I've even established if the guide dog will be part of the spectating crew)!
Anyone got any experience of driving to and dropping-off or parking-up at Wallyford Park and Ride on Marathon day? i.e. any insight on whether that's practical, or if it's only really reachable by bus/train from another park and ride?
Also, would our designated driver be on a hiding to nothing if they attempted to drive out to Port Seton Links to drop off our runner for leg #3 and to then wait for the leg #2 and leg #3 runners to return before heading back with a carload to Wallyford?
Ta!

2:29 for Luca, hit the wall at the end. Good first marathon though.
