Excellent! Am I right (having checked it out on Motionbased) to think that it's Dutch in its flatness?

It is a very flat course. Never been to Holland so I can't compare it.

It is however a massive lap around a wind farm. So flat yes.....windy....yes.

half marathon is flat apart from a small rise in sutton on sea when you run up onto the sea front
marathon is the same apart from a couple of slight climbs but nothing really to worry about

Lovely lovely friendly race where my marathon PB and successful sub 3:15 attempt happened in 2008.

No hills, some slight undulations that actually help (utter utter pancake flatness can be very wearing as your gait never varies). It was breezey; however on what would have been a hot day this may have had some advantages in keeping cool.

It did get a bit lonely; think we had 120 odd runners and you can spend a lot of time later in the race running on your own. However being such a small race all the hassles and complications of a big city race are not a factor and for me this was a huge help in having a good race and time.

Thoroughly recommended from this viewpoint anyway!
