100m ascent in 6km Is that easy, difficult or somewhere in between? And at the end of a marathon...? I'm thinking of squeezing a final marathon into 2012 and Lisbon looks like a go-er but has 100m of ascent between 35km and 41km. Given that the last 8 miles of marathons seem to destroy me, a steer on this would be most kind. |

Flat as a pancake. Its 16m climb per km, admittedly its at the wrong end of the race, but it barely counts as a hill. |

Nope... as JohnnyO says, although at the wrong end of the race it really is a tiny slope.

I'd be more worried by the 2,500m ascent in the previous 36km. Lisbon's on a hill you know.. ![]() |

If the "m" in "100m" refers to miles, that's a fecker of an ascent. Seek NASA for advice...

It is only about an 80m gain over the last 6/7km. Honestly, you won't even notice it. lisbon-marathon.com |
