Going back a few pages, Dio was complaining of one on the M5 near Bristol. I'm having a think, but IIRC one of the nicest ones is down that way too - back when it wasn't a commonplace thing to do, on return from the West Country, you could sit outside and enjoy a) the views of hills and b) the sound of nearby roaring traffic.

It's just the location: You have to come off the motorway and then go around an annoying busy roundabout and similar on the way back. I always liked the one on the M4 past Swindon with the steeply sloping roof that curves back up on itself.

He used to play for the Boston Bruins back in the 1990s.

Actually I think the 'nice' one on the M5 is either Taunton Deane or Sedgemoor. The going round the roundabout one is probably Gordano. There's a similar annoying arrangement on the M40 near Oxford.

Fair point.
Here's the Oxford Services. How annoying is this layout?

The round the roundabout M5 one sounds like Cullompton. We stopped there yesterday. Train line is about 6 inches from the outdoor seating.
Gloucester on the M5 was okay when it was new. Novelty has worn off a bit now though.
My favourite West Country one is Exeter, Services themselves are nothing special, but always stop there on the way down and it marks the start of our jollidays.
