Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I plan to have a go at GFA qualification in 2014 and just looking at races it occurred to me that I don't know which races VMLM will accept. Is it just anything UKA licensed? The thing that got me started was this note in the Rotary Shakespeare marathon's information (note that they started the sentence with "because", not me!):

"Because part of the course (the Greenway) is off-road, entrants who wish to use their times to qualify for major international races should consult the organisers of those races to ascertain whether their times in the Rotary Shakespeare Marathon will be accepted for qualification"

Doesn't the VLM website have a list of qualifying races?

I've used Shakespeare as GFA in the past...

Twelevone, I think Cerid means having a go at the GFA time next year, not doing London next year :-)

Yes, just want to come out of 2014 having had a go; if I don't get it then I haven't got it, nothing changes :)

@Tarahumara, no, it just says "If you've already run a full marathon in a particularly fast time, you might qualify for an automatic 'good for age' entry into the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon" which is open ended but perhaps not hugely informative.

Got something to say?
