90,000 runners this year going to be busy but hopefully no where will get too congested (Bute parks out now which used to have some congestion spots). Anyone do the route last year?
Had my number through on Friday. In the Green starting pen. Not a PB attempt for me this year but has given me a target race to try and get my training back up again. Will be happy with around 2hr 15mins.
Who else is in and any plans for a post race meet up?

will probably be around 15,000 on the day, last few years the start has been a bit of an issue for me, thought training was going ok but struggled today with a 10 miler.

They claimed a sold out 20012 last year........13,773 started. So on a 19,000 it will be about 13,000 starters on the day.
Most of those who did last year's route say there was no congestion at all. One or two in the pack suggested a little bit of slowing between 5 and 6 where there is a slight narrowing coming off the barage, coming toward the Dr Who Experience. Apart from that it is all roads and big paths, with the smaller paths gone.
Mostly flat. Can't claim it is quite as flat as it used to be, beause of Baron's Court. It's only a 60-70ft climb in three quarters of a mile, so doesn't really count as a hill - but a significant bump compared with some of the past Cardiff HM routes. But if you compare it with past Cardiff HM routes, even the run up the road next to Roath Park is a bit of work. So still flat, but not so much that we can joke about the speed bumps being the biggest hills anymore.

Really looking forward to Sunday. Last year was great, no real congestion for me. Only suggestion I have for the start is, like Bath, you have say a colour number and then its broken up into a) b) c) again, so, people starting looking for a 1:50 time are not starting in front of people looking for a 1:20 time, which it is at the minute! Other than that, great race.

Still trying to get in to make up for last weekend's debacle... checking my emails every 2 minutes but that's not doing any good.

Yeah - I've emailed homie who does the sub-70m entries to try to get a last minute place but not heard back. We've found a phone number now though, so I think Coach D will try that tomorrow as he also has a 64/65-minute guy who wants a run.
I agree 14's quite warm for running a half, a lot of people don't appreciate this (it's about 10 degrees too warm in my book).
Fingers crossed all round...
