At my time of life, (57) people are telling me I should be slowing down.
Why, I ask myself should I do that? Gardening is out of the question as I don’t have green fingers. Golf just spoils a good walk. As for fishing, well I couldn’t catch a cold. So I decided to take up running. (Only started early 2010). Even then people tell me I am mad and to mind I don’t have a heart attack. (These people seem to be the ones with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other). Well, let me tell them that I am feeling ok and my health is getting a lot better thank you. My fitness level has increased and I am able to run further as the weeks progress. |
