I have been running since October 2007 and due to me age (I don’t think I am old!) I seem to have had my fair share of injury, that was mostly due to not stretching enough and working my core muscles. Whilst training for a 1/2m August 2008 I developed a problem with my right hip joint, which my Consultant seems to think is Osteoarthritis and I hope it isn’t. the long and short of it is that I have not trained properly since August, in fact had three months of not running at all and then back for a few weeks just before the knacker cracker 10k on New Years day. My New Years resolution is to get to the bottom of what is wrong with my hip, so that I can still run in the future.
The last few months have been depressing and frustrating not being able to do something that makes me feel great for all parts of my life.
