About Me
Hi, I'm a 33 year old Kiwi bloke living in Belfast, Northern Ireland with my wife (sorry ladies, already taken!), also a Kiwi. I've always ran to either control my weight or for fitness. I only started entering races at age 28. I am going to run the Belfast marathon in May 2009 along with my wife. I'm hoping to run this in 4 hours or less - well that's the plan. I have done the Edinburgh marathon last year in a time of 4 hours 18 mins. One other goal I'm also chasing is to do a half marathon in 1 hr 45 or under. I seem to have been chasing this goal for a while, coming close but no cigar a few times. My big fella running nickname originates from my first half marathon (in NZ). I was quite a bit heavier then (about 16 stone) and during the last painful 4 miles a few spectators (thinking they were being encouraging) took it upon themselves to yell out "That's good running for a big fella!". Have never been able to shake that off!
