Ardmore 5...Target 34'30 6'54mile...
Didn't really enjoy it as I got sucked in 1st mile & almost lost my race.. A recovery race after 1st mile

(1) 6'29 161/171 too fast, ok downhill, but HR too high. Tom, me & Ritchie together & legs are good. 2days rest b4 race make some difference...

(2nd) decided going down main street to take it easier /hoping to salvage the race.
Tom gone ahead on short hill out of village, just track him...... HR is too high at174/ 176 this early...

caught up to tom again on downhill to village cross ...

6'48, 13'17 174/176... OTT again & still not balanced

(3rd) Tom pulled away bit by bit.. Had planned a 7'00 for this but knew that HR was too high and here's payback for going off too hard,
7'10, 20'27... 176/176...Slowest & Toughest mile HR shows it... but balance/happier/race salvage mile... back too my own race

Happy too.. with time.... if I can do 2x7'00's I'm still on target for 34'30....

(4)caught up to Tom at about 3.5 mls.. as I held 175 HR on easy downhill towards 4 marker(& I know that legs can do 176/177 today

6'57, 27'24, 175/175. Marker in wrong place ? we're running harder than that!!! Together...
Sub 7'00 for last mile to be under 34'30... doable...

(5)Tom is stronger on hills but I have a sprint finish.... Run your own race Ray....

HR dropped to 174 .... helps a sprint finish....

so I'm happy... together

HR dropped another beat... for 200m/300m...no fucking way... Go now ray....

6'36 34'00 175/178....

34'00... ok happy/delighted with the time but don't want/like to get sucked in to racing and going OTT to injury in a nothing race Target... Cop on Ray
