I can't stop looking at my splits, I'm so chuffed! My last half I avg 9:38 so to avg 9:19 is a vast improvement and a PB by over 4 1/2 mins :-)

The weather was quite hideous - very strong blustery cold wind. At least it wasn't raining and the roads relatively dry. I was dreading it but settled into a nice pace early on with a fellow strider. This is the first HM where I haven't walked, I ran the entire way suggesting I got the pacing right. The worst of the headwind was in the final mile hence the worst mile split, I actually couldn't get my breath and I think I may have cried. It was all I could do to put one foot in front of the other, I couldn't manage a sprint finish in strong wind.
I ran strong, consistently and comfortably today, despite the conditions and that horrible last mile. Very pleased :-)
