Notes & Comments

Lliswerry 8 mile road race, Newport. Diabolical conditions – rain, gales, floods! Arrived at the start line drenched, shivering, forlorn and sorely tempted to retreat to the car, but what the hell, surely things could only get better....did they f***! Suffered two head to toe soakings from knob-head motorists, shoes squelching full of water, soggy race number migrated down to my crotch, alien fingers in both hands and garmin gave up the ghost due to water ingress. But, in spite of these trials somehow managed to get round in a pb – oh happy days!
6.06, 6.12, 6.09, 6.24, 6.29, 6.27, 6.20, 6.10
