Notes & Comments

wexford half marathon... :-)

5k... 23'14 AHR 166

4'36 pace going well. Slightly behind time… tracking Irene Clark who is very steady

10k... 22'36/45'50 AHR 166

Passed Irene in park…Very Enjoyable section

15k... 22'28/68'18

SO.. 40-50 secs ahead... DARE I BELIEVE in 95'00 .. I Dare.. but not for long !!! serious headwind and passing others so no cover… Legs are tired but holding, with concentration.

16k... 4'39 72'57 AHR 166
Thought I was working harder but obviously legs are more tired than I thought… 5k to go… try and hold 4'36k pace… at least get under 96'58(PB)

17k... 4'42 77'39 AHR 167
Fuck this wind… I can't push any harder… Legs just don't have it… I'll blow up…. Start doing the Maths

18k... 4'36 82'15 AHR 168
More than happy with that… but I'll be hobbling tomorrow… 2mls/3k to go… just dig in

19k... 4'46 87'01 AHR 168
Ah F**k… not much I can do though…HR is holding at 168 so its legs are knackered… ??? This would be some course if this was a tailwind section !!!! … and then Salvation… 4 blokes running together passed(all 6 foot)…& my only thought was Ray get on that train....

20k... 4'32 91'33 AHR 166
Wow…. Thought they were slowing as my hr dropped back to 166…happy again… almost bollicked… but only 1 km to go... Thank God for big Men !!!

21k... 4'34 96'07 AHR 169
Oh that was savage… but we can see the clock…. We're all sprinting…what a finish…

21.1k... 00'27 96'34 AHR 171

Couldn't get the leader!!!!

CHIP TIME 96'23 Brilliant :-) :) :-)

Talking to 2 of them afterwards…they were saying..Thank you.. Thank you.. thank you) Their plan was 4'36km same as mine… and then after 5k it was follow the W W baldy fellow in Blue.. Well really …life doesn't get any better than that... Absolutely chuffed
