Notes & Comments

This was the second time I've done the Templeton 10, and despite the bitterly cold wind, I really enjoyed it. No, really. The first four miles were more or less uphill (including one really steep bit just before the four mile marker), then it flattened out nicely before going downhill. The headwind after Bridgefoot (about 7 and a half miles) was really strong, and coupled with some more big hills, the last stretch was pretty tough. The last mile (through the woods) reminded me all about oxygen debt, but I had a good finish and I beat my previous time from 2009!

A really good, well-organised race, with an impressive spread of snacks and goodies at the end!
