Run > Race

Back from Overton, no car so Jnr and I cycled to the sation as the race is only 2 stops away, made a nice change not having the hastle of parking and was a nice 1.5m warm up before the race.

Jnr wanted sub 30, which he got with a nice 29:12 and 29th place. (his 4th mile, which is nearly all up hill was 22 sesc slower than his next slowest mle - I was happ with this as for the same mile was 24 seconds slower than my next slowest mile...)

I was also happy with my time 31:28 official in 80th place, with the following splits of 6:25, 6:18, 6:10, 6:49 and 5:43, no the last mile was not short just mostly down hill and being chased down all the way plus most of the 2nd lap by a club mate... who I knew was there as all the marshalls were shouting (as a local race by a rival (friendly) club I / we know most of them well) well done Matt, with a very short space of well done Dougie.... this well and truely kept me going, meaning I was 2nd club member home for the club behind Jnr....

So a good day out and not in sulk mode.... so happy.
