Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

SCORCHIO! Well, that was tough. A new experience for me in such heat. The highest temp in which I've ever previously run a half marathon was 13 degrees; I remember finding that a little too warm on the day. So 28 was rather too high for me, and it seems to most other runners. Yes, yes it's July... perhaps I thought it would be more like last July. Started at a pace suited to cool conditions; ended up being glad to finish at all. (Mile 11 included 45 secs stop at the water station.) All great experience though; this was actually a nice route and a well-organised event. Shame I didn't have enough energy to make the most of the swing band at the finish! Measured a little long on my Garmin: 13.21miles, 8:56mm. And well done Murray.
