Sheffield Half Marathon Split 1 = gun to start time. Missed a few mile markers! Split 6 = turn point Great conditions for running - cool and dry. A little bit of wind noticeable in places, but not for most of route. Almost perfect run for me. Decided to go for 6:50 - 7:00 on the way out (net up hill) and then see if I could pick up a bit on the way back. Felt good over first half and so did manage to speed up over second half for negative split. Approx. 45:10 out; 43:55 back for 89:05 Not only beat 1:32 target, but also sub 1:30. Massive PB!
Official chip time was 1:29:06 and I finished in 263rd place (21st M45) of 5401 recorded finishers.
