Well, a bit of a disaster as I suspected, but not quite in the way I expected. I was consciously trying not to go to fast at the start, keeping between 10 and 11m miles, but the splits show I in fact did the first 8 or 9 miles much faster than that, and then paid for it by having to walk a lot of the last 5 miles. Not ideal. Still, I knew I had not done the training in Feb because of illness and weight much higher than last year, so didn't expect any better than about 5 hrs.
