Burnage parkrun - after a 10k bike ride warm up I just had enough time to get changed and get down to the start. Began well in the front group of four and stayed steady about 20 metres behind the leader. As we got to halfway I felt stronger and began to get closer eventually drawing level with the leader at about 4k. Knew I was going to win and felt so good pushing on hard to the finish, official time 18:34, 2 secs off a pb but on that tough course it is my best 5k ever. Did a bit of kayaking on the river and then an hour bike ride home down the river to Didsbury first.
