Notes & Comments

Ran the Haweswater half marathon as part of my 'Sunderburgh' marathon training. Last ran this race 3 years ago. Went into this with being happy with anything under 1:30. Ran this race today with excellence. Running it in a watch time of 1:26:15 rewarding me a personal best time and well under my 1:30 target. Handle hills very well managing to hold marathon pace on the ups and quicker once levelled off. Over the moon and loved every minute of the race. A challenging but very scenic course. Nice and cool conditions for it with the sun making an appearance now and again.

That is now the halfway point of marathon training. I feel I am now on track to what I want. 40 mile ran for week 8. Bring on Trimpell 20 :-)
