Notes & Comments

Ran the Albert Park parkrun today. I believe I have only run a 5K slower than this once in 12 attempts. It was a tough day and I finished 52nd. Had hoped for sub 20 pre race and was on pace through the first km. Soon dropped into a pace that I could sustain though which was more like 4:15 - 4:20 min km. Really noticed today the variation in difficulty with km's 1,3 and 5 being predominantly downhill and km's 2 and 4 being more of an upslope. Disappointed to slip past 21minutes in the end, but worked hard through out. Really looking forward to tackling a 5K at least once a month in the future.
