For second year running I ran the East Hull 20 race. Before I went into this I wasn't expecting a true potential outcome with me just recently suffering with a cold. Went into this somewhat faster than I should but moderated it a little as I got further into race. Went on and managed better than expected up to the last few mile. Struggled on last 3 miles, breathing became harder on the chest and fatigued bigtime. Did not enjoy the not as described (Fast n flat) course, found it extremely boring. Happy with time though of 2:26:29. Just 5 minutes over Trimpell. Performed better than I expected before raceday but wont be racing Hull 20 again, I was reminded how boring that race is.
