Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Penistone 10K (Splits to follow at some point)...
Consciously set off reasonably steady and pulled back a few places on the way up to Back Lane. Overtook one more up the hill and by now quite a big gap to those ahead. Pushed on from the top and overtook another. Pushed up the hill the chicken place and lost my Hallamshire shadow. Probably 100 - 150m behind chap in front. Consolidated up to the top and then recovered a bit down the hill. Started to gain on the chap in front but still quite a way behind. Felt a bit knackered after the left turn. Ground through it though and improved on the next down hill. Decided I might be able to catch the guy in front so dug deep. Probably 50 yards ahead of me when we turned on to the trail but seemed to catch him quite quickly. Thought I might sit in for a short time to recover but pushed on past to the finish. Just outside 40 minutes but best I've felt at this race and paced it well.
