Treated this as a 'training run' (more so as I have a little thigh injury). Started out with Mandy, who kept me on track for the first 5 miles; tempted to do loop back (at 5 as Ron had suggested), but leg felt okay and I had pain killers, so thought I would not go mad and just enjoy myself! I walked through every water and sponge station (which were brilliantly organised), chatted to the Marshalls and other runners - and despite the wind never being in our favour, it was a comfortable run from start to finish. Wasn't bothered about time (just wanted to get around before the sweeper truck). Special thanks to my pals Katherine (for Driving) and Mandy who were brilliant at just being really supportive and helping with my nerves...
3rd Half Marathon under my belt now, and really looking forward to GER!! (Best get that application form sorted) Split Summary
