Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Pednor 5 mile race. GPS recorded time and distance. Delighted with that - over 3 minutes off my PB and on a hilly course to boot. I deliberately went off quite hard in the knowledge that the hill at 2 miles would lose me some time so I was hoping to have something in hand. I came SOOOO close to walking on the aforementioned hill - everybody else around me did so - but I got through it by shuffling along looking at the ground so I didn't have to see how much of it was left! My target was to get through 4km in 25 minutes: I had 20 seconds to spare. The second half of the race was predominantly downhill and I took considerable advantage of it to finish well inside my target time of 50 minutes and a big new PB. Watch time 47:42. Km splits: 5:41, 6:04, 6:14, 6:41 (the hill!), 6:01, 5:37, 5:27, 5:38.
