Notes & Comments

Edinburgh - North Berwick 20m race. Planned to use this as an easy long training run to bridge the gap between London and Edinburgh marathons but boy it did not feel like it. Set off steady then backed off not wanting to push too hard but wasn't feeling great, then stomach problems kicked in and had to make a couple of pits stops. Felt so grim I considered dropping out at pitstop around 13m but got myself together and ran on to the finish. Very strange, not sure what made me feel so bad, heat? poor prep? not recovered from London? Who knows. Maybe just a one off bad day with the old stomach playing up.
