VLM 2011. Ah chuff, that didn't go to plan. Quads beginning to get heavy, tight, lifeless from as early as 8-9m. Working hard already by halfway and soon after the wheels were off. Although hotter than I'd like, and undoubtedly a bit dehydrated too, problems were really all about the quads not being able to manage 6:45 pace. Thought I would enjoy first London, and didn't. Will have to go back and do it properly.
Missed mile marker 6 while nattering with Nell McAndrew, which was nice. Missed the other 3 by being dopey.
Crappily, there's about 7-8 short walks in the last 8 miles too. Note to self - don't let another marathon go this way.
