Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

BELPER RUGBY ROVER. The last 4 or 5 miles were the worst I've ever felt on a run.Worse than any marathon. It's shocking how bad it was. Saying that I'm pleased to have got near my target time and know I could do a lot better on this course with fresh legs that didn't do a 50 just 3 weeks ago. Couldn't get much faster than 11.30 min miles on the fast flat tarmac bit at the end. Also, forgot gels, and it was hot so I struggled with food. Tactic for this race is (notes for next year) - make sure plenty of distance and hills in legs (but not the Lakeland 50, silly!!), some gels in bumbag but plenty of water available on the way round, get a good fast start to secure good position early on as plenty of rests at stiles, run steady through middle section, and save some for a fast finish the last 4 miles.
