Croxby 1 Lap. Had an OK start and then the heavens opened and we had 5 minutes or so of torrential rain. I decided to be more aggressive from the start so got into a fast pace on the first stretch, moving up to 4th position. On the second stretch I really struggled up the hill and fell back to 8th, and struggled from there on in. Was passed by a couple more on the last stretch, and didn't have much in reserve for Heartbreak Hill. Ended up 10th - could have nicked 9th off a struggling Kev Green at the end but didn't quite manage it. Knocked 10 seconds off my PB, but was disappointed to have not done much better. Should have done around 27:30 so was about 30 seconds off my planned pace.
