I felt absolutely dreadful for the first four miles of this year's Beverley 10k. I picked up in the last couple but I must have been dehydrated as although I drank a lot of water before the race I felt weak. It's testament to how far I've come in terms of my fitness that I could beat my PB by 18 seconds despite feeling so ill.
