Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

NT 10K

Quite a decent pb (down from 45.34), but was not a good race. Looked at my race notes for last year and it went really well, but it felt a lot different this year. First mile was due to the downhill rather than starting too fast and paying the price. Was aiming for around 7.10 pace

The hills were worse than I remember and lots of up and down bits on the promenade. Seemed to be a headwind from 2 miles. Really, really struggled with breathing despite taking inhaler.

The mile markers were all over the place so disrupted my rhythm. Mile 4 was at 3.85, mile 5 was 4.9 so I slowed down thinking Garmin was acting up and the last mile felt forever and hence my slowest of the race! I'd mentally given up at that point though and didn't want to push any further in light of the marathon. Didn't help that you could see the finish (lighthouse) for around 3 miles ;-)

Didn't enjoy it at all, but I finally got my sub 45 :)
