Notes & Comments

The aim was to do this at consistent 8.30s i.e. marathon pace. Like Reading the first 5 or 6 miles were so hard (Split times show this as the slowest 5 miles wtf!!!) and I felt I was giving it 100% to stay on pace and got pins and needles and numb feet again but luckily like Reading I hung in there and it got better. I certainly didn't feel that I faded much, so although I am having to push hard to get the speed the endurance is there.

Splits:
1 - 5 (42.27) 8.28, 8.27, 8.37, 8.28, 8.27
6- 10 (42.12) 8.33, 8.17, 8.30, 8.28, 8.24
11-15 (42.17) 8.26, 8.23, 8.32, 8.26, 8.31
16-20 (41 .01)8.37, 8.25, 8.32, 8.41, 7.46

A pb by 10secs, wish I could get splits like that. Glad to see your trying to increase speed now you have the endurance. Will be looking over my shoulder for you in our next race.
