Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

ROMBOLD'S STRIDE. I'm sure this was a fab route, all out across Baildon Moor and Ilkley Moor, via lots of famous landmark rocks. But couldn't see owt!! Thick clag hugging the whole route all the way round. Lots of people there, hundreds of runners, and I guessed I'd be ok to follow people. Started off with Dazz and Al, but let them go after about a mile, and began tagging myself onto various people and following them blatantly! Lots of different characters (favourites where Keighley man and Horsforth man. Least favourite was idiot sexist man), who I used shamelessly and then discarded when they got tired and followed the next lot of likely candidates. Finally had to navigate myself for the last 2 miles after I couldn't keep up with the latest person I'd chosen to follow!! A great run, found the distance easy, though it seemed a bit of a trudge in the conditions, and quite difficult in all the slippy mud. Pleased with time. Ran the finishing mile strongly, to round the corner and there was Dazzle just coming out to wait for me, perfect timing :-). Foot sore intermittently and absolute agony later on, though it didn't stop me limping down the local curry house!
