Wow!! I am in shock. This was my 28th race that I have completed and it will go down as one of my best running acheivements. I did not PB this race although I ran really well having felt really awful before the start and decided I would just do my best. The shock was that having acheived previous best finishes in the top 50 and a 24th place as my best ever finish. I finished in 6th place today!! I totally did not expect to acheive anywhere near a top 6 finish and I am sure it wont happen too often in future, but no one can ever take my 6th place away from me today. It is by a long way my best ever position in a race and I had to run into a very strong wind to acheive it. Alongside my 3 marathons it is probably my biggest acheivement in running.
