Another PB in almost perfect conditions (never happy, a bit on the warm side) for the Helensburgh half and Kirky Olympians day out to the seaside. Des won most gutted man of the day award after turning up expecting 6 or 8 club championship points and realising he was only going to get 2 as J5A, Gavin Harvie and Louis also turned up. Louis went off as usual as if his arse was on fire opening up a huge gap over the first mile eventually finishing just outside 1:16 in 4th place. I was 2nd for the club and 8th overall with J5A (his 6th race of the week, already dreading Tuesday as it will be dark before training starts!!!) coming in around 1:22 just ahead of Gavin Harvie. Missed out on the team prize to Garscube but J5A took 3rd vet over 40 to add to his 3rd overall in the Tour of Clydeside (did I mention I'm dreading Tuesday).
