Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Notes & Comments

ECCUP 10 road race. Didn't think I'd quite manage 9 min miles, as I knew that this was meant to be hilly (predicted 1.32). The plan was to try and run the 9 min miles and try to hold on in there. I was determined not to start too fast too, as this is a mistake I make often. I started with Emma, but quickly realised that we were going much faster than the 9mm pace, so slowed myself down deliberately. It was all going mostly to plan with quicker mostly downhill miles and slower uphill mostly uphill miles, and I went through half way in 44.20. Unfortunately though, the 2nd half had the killer hills and I couldn't quite maintain the pace, and a couple of 9.30ish miles meant I was over the hoped for 1.30. Not a bad run though, it showed that my speed is where I thought it was, maybe a fraction better, and I CAN still run for 10 miles non-stop. Must get out and do some killer tarmac hill sessions down on Dry Carr Lane. 8.25, 9.15, 8.23, 9.04, 9.19, 9.15, 9.40, 9.29, 9.29, 9.16. (Overall 388/523, F93/171, Cat F35 32/69)
