Notes & Comments

Wokingham Half. - Very hot to run a half. I think I knew after a couple of miles that a PB wasn't on. The legs felt very tired and heavy. Intensive training in France and racing twice since i have been back may have been the reason. I kept at it trying to keep under 6.30 and was reasonably comfortable until 8 - 10 miles. After 7 miles i was passing people as others faded in the heat. After 10 i was slowing noticeably but still passing people. The last 3 miles were tough. I expected this as I have hardly trained over 10 miles in the last 3 months. I could probably got a marginal PB if I had really flogged myself but the chances of bringing on an injury would have been too high. I supose its a good result and I know I have a 1.23... in me on the right course and with a few more longer runs regardless of the weather.
