Independence Home Days. Bit of a rough course, a few hills. Really hot in the sun but not as humid as it's been. Started off running the first mile with Gary. Mike was running with Julie but caught up to us. They kinda got away me at that point. At the last 1/4 mile, I was struggling with the heat and my breathing on the last hill. I caught up to Mike as he was walking but couldn't pass him. He finished about 20 seconds ahead of me. I got 1st in my age group!!! A first for a RRS race!!!!
