Notes & Comments

Jogged down to cycle track, a few drills, 2 strides and then 4 x mile reps with ~2 minute recovery. Legs were tired and stiff, so it didn't feel smooth, I also felt fatigued and a bit hungry. I struggled more than I expected for the first rep (which is slightly uphill - 6 meter gain) and had more of a headwind - ran past Brian Penny walking his dog half way along. Took a 2 minute recovery then started the second rep and saw Tia Pullin towards the end of it. I took a 2.5 minute recovery then started the third rep, caught Tia and ran past. Then she stopped when she reached me as I was about to start my final rep - we had a quick chat and then I started rep 3 with more like 4 minutes recovery, but managed to push this one harder and run a 5.38 - ran past Brian again on the way back. Was pleased with the last repo, but it did feel hard. Then jogged (and walked up the hill) the short way back home.
