Notes & Comments

I had an objective of breaking 31 mins in this race, so I have to be happy as I have done absolutely no speed or hill work and my mileage this past 9 weeks has been well down. The conditions were perfect and the course flat though. Lots of Oxfordshire clubs represented. A typical low key, highly competitive event that was great fun and cheap to enter (£18 for all five!). I felt happy running at this "threshold" pace and it brought back memories of faster times in the past. 20 years ago I would have expected to be below 23 minutes on this course.
