Battersea Park Marathon: 03:52:00 Pos: 178/3xx

What a relief. I was starting to worry that I'd lost the ability to run sub-4.

This was a busy race (too many people with the half marathon as well), but after a cautious start I got into my running. I wanted to break 4 hours in the first 17 miles and that worked just fine.

I definitely went too quick though, going through halfway in about 1:53 and running about 1:59 for the second half. If you'd offered me that before the start, I'd have taken it.

My watch mis-measured the course due to the trees I think. I'm confident that it was an accurate course.

Was really struggling late on, but I'd made my own bed and couldn't complain.
