Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Here we go again. Flora London Marathon. 75 degrees temperature. I went to the start line not knowing whether the calf muscle would hold up. It tightened early on but then got easier. Injury wasn't a problem, but I had no energy. I was tired at 6 miles and walking by 9 miles. At 6 miles my HR was over 180. Was I suffering with something? After that it was one long jog/walk. Very disappointing in one way but good in another because My prayers were answered about finishing. Got up at 6.15 and left hotel at 7.15. was at start in plenty of time. Intended to make my own porridge but it didn't work and lost time going to breakfast. Also lost my phone before 5 miles. Did that prey on my mind? Don't know but it was a long hard day and the run itself was not that enjoyable. Wondered later if I'd not given it my all. Did I give in too easily? Bottle it? At the end I had no plans to run another in the near future, but after a few days thought perhaps I might? Can't leave it like this. See running records for splits. Ryan ran 4.02
10K 0.56.28, 20K 2.00.53, Half 2.08.58, 30K 3.16.37, 40K 4.41.43
