North Street; Hall Road and round by the "plastic tree"; track to Valley Wash; Chimney Street
Running is great exercise: you can dash yourself into the ground at a fraction of the cost of, say, cycling. @Iain had to splash out on a bicycle to do it; I just needed a pair of trainers¹. Had it been a few months ago, it would have been soft and gloopy just there. Today: hard-baked clay. Lying there looking back up the path, I couldn't even see what I'd tripped over. At least I have proven to my satisfaction that it's not a #FlatEarth.
Otherwise, it's a lovely day: clear and sunny, with just a hint of a cool north breeze. As usual these days, it was quiet, too: a couple of cyclists, another runner and a few dog-walkers. And I managed to get most of the hill climbing out of the way at the beginning.
¹ for those of a nervous disposition: and a pair of shorts and a T shirt. I was just trying to add a bit of colour² to the story
