Notes & Comments

Sittingbourne 10 Mile.

Set myself a target of around 66 to 67 minutes but wasn't sure if it would be doable given the strength of the wind. I settled in after Lockyers Hill and stuck to my pace, I could see the next runner ahead of me and gradually closed him down before passing him at around 8km and pushing on to break the link.
My next target was about 800m ahead so I set about trying to close the gap despite the headwind, I caught him after another 4km but began to feel the effects of the chase so with his encouragement I ran alongside him to the finish.

7th overall, 1st M50 and 66:36 which was right on target, finally a 10 mile race that went to plan!
