Notes & Comments

Andover Lakes 10k (2nd)

Was hoping to use this race to set a PB, but I discovered during my warmup that this wasn't going to happen due to the terrain and many sharp turns. Still decided to give things a good go though. Shared the lead with another guy from the start and kept a good pace. Things then became a bit of a struggle once we stepped off the tarmac and onto the grassy and then rocky parts of the route... I couldn't keep the same pace as I struggled with the rocks a bit - I've worn my Trail Gloves down quite a bit so I could feel the rocks quite a bit. This gave the guy I was sharing the lead with the opportunity to pull away from me and I wasn't able to reel him in in the end. Happy with a second place finish though.
