Notes & Comments

Blakedown Bolt 10k.Started off a little slow due to field and then the bottleneck at the stiles, the it was a slow uphill on a single track so was just taking my time. When possible overtook a few other runners but the run was mostly narrow so not many places for overtaking.Got a mild stitch at about the 5 mile point, which is starting to bug me as i seem to be getting it more and more of late.Felt that i wasn't pushing that much either. It may be due to carb drinks before race.Next time i may stick to sipping water before. At the last 2k tried to push it more and finished quite strong which im happy with.Came 62/254 and a PB for this course of 51:12 ( last time 55:24 ).Overall good run and some good hill training, pitty the half mara is over the flat.Definitly think my strong points are the hills.Good beer and bbq after, and the kid's enjoyed it too.Think my asics have had there day, rubbed me on the ankles from around 4 mile.
