crap race but take comfort from a 5k pb-22.34. read a plan for pacing. i will add it here so that i can try it out as i remember what a crap race i hadHere’s a workable plan for a 10-K:

Mile 1: Run with as little effort as possible.

Mile 2: Cruise along and maintain race pace.

Mile 3: Pass at least five runners.

Mile 4: Up the pace slightly at 5-K mark and maintain pace for a mile.

Mile 5: Relax and maintain pace. Try to pass at least two more runners without allowing anyone to pass you.

Mile 6: Pick off one more runner in the final 100 meters to the finish. If you have anything left, pick up the pace and run through the finish line.
