Run > Race

Tough race and very hilly.. certainly not a pb potential and I thought sub-2 hours was going to be physically impossible. But such a beautiful day and a really lovely course which was very well organised and marshalled.

The last hill just before 11 miles came as a nasty shock and nearly finished my chances of a sub-2 hour.. but I flew through the last two and as soon as the clock at the finish became visible I could see the seconds ticking away. I've never run so fast in my life as I did at that moment and my chip "beeped" with 2 seconds to spare. It took about 50 secs to get to the start line so I reckon real time was about 1:59:08.
