Enigma Fireworks Marathon - 4:05:54 Pos: xx/xx

I really enjoyed this and I had a good day. I'd turned up for a jogathon as a training run (this wasn't in my schedule for the year originally and will end up being the extra eleventh marathon that I squeezed in).

The weather was great. It rained from the start through to about 20 miles. The course was scenic and easy (7.5 laps of Caldecotte Lake) and the field was small.

I was feeling pretty good today but had already decided not to race this, so was quite happy to plod round the first half in about 2:04 and the second half in 2:01 (I included a couple of pee stops in the first half).

Finished up feeling tired, but was full of energy.

This is a good event that will be worth coming back for, to either jog or race.
