Bristol & West Open Meet 800m. What a palava! Didn't really care too much about this anyway so turned up completely untappered and very tired. AS expected they were behind - but it turned out to be around 50 minutes because of the sprinters (as usual). On top of that, I wasn't asked for my time so I wasn't seeded and when they did runt he first heat (which was the fastest and hence mine) I wasn't in it! Me and El Got put in some random race with Becky and Charlotte (who nearly went home!). I lead it out with El on my shoulder through 200m in 30, feeling alright and then relaxed but went through 400m in 63 not really feeling as fresh as I would like. El went past me and I tried to stay with him, but her started pulling away on the back straight. I was feeling too tired and didn't really have the motivation to push any harder so finished 2nd behind El (he did 2.06) in 2.08.11. Not too bad considering how tired I was plus the delay I guess. We did 4 x ~200m efforts on the grass after.
